Digital transponders will record each Pro/Expert rider's practice laps and the fastest 48 riders will be seeded into no more than 4 heat races. Maximum of 4 heats and maximum of 4 semis will determine the twelve riders for the 20-lap Pro/Expert Main event. Heat races and semis are seeded per the AMA Pro Racing rulebook.

The riders will be lined up in an inverted, staggered start, with the slowest rider at the outside pole on the start/finish line and the remaining riders each positioned one bike length behind and one bike length to the inside of the rider in front.
